Act II, Scene I

Today we announced the signing of an agreement for SteelEye to merge with and become a subsidiary of our Japanese reseller, Ten Art-ni (read the name backwards to see its origin).

SteelEye and Ten Art-ni have partnered for over four years to deliver LifeKeeper-based solutions to Japan.  Together, we have established LifeKeeper as the premier High Availability clustering solution in Japan which has driven significant revenues for both of our companies. Both SteelEye and Ten Art-ni desire to expand our businesses globally and after much discussion, we have decided that the combination of our skills, our partnerships and our business practices is the fastest way to achieve growth.

All of us at SteelEye are very excited about this new phase of the company.  Accelerated product delivery, expanded presence in Asia and increased marketing activities should be the most visible impact of our agreement.  Ten Art-ni has their own set of JAVA-based products that I expect we will also begin to offer to the American and European markets following some localization work.

No longer is SteelEye a small company of 35 hard-working folks; now we are an integral part of a larger 200+ person corporation.  Expect great things from us and our new larger SteelEye/Ten Art-ni family.
